Deprecated Android SDK

This page outlines the differences between the deprecated release and the latest Android SDK release.

This documentation is for a version of the SDK that has been deprecated. To upgrade from deprecated versions of the SDK to the latest release, please contact your Phenix technical representative.

Express APIs provide a simple, single-step API for the easiest integration of streaming into your application

• Channel (one to many) -> Channel Express
• Group Broadcast (few to many) -> Room Express
• Group Chat (many to many) -> Room Express
• One to One Chat -> Room Express
• Publising and subscribing -> PCast™ Express

The following low level APIs are provided in the Android SDK:

• Room - Use the Phenix platform to broadcast changes between all of your users
• Chat - Use the Phenix platform to send and receive chat messages between users
• PCast™ - Use the Phenix platform to Publish and Subscribe to streams
