Osprey Video Encoder
Osprey Talon video encoders can be used to publish content to Phenix using
Follow Osprey's user manual to connect to your encoder.
Settings
Output
Configure your Talon encoder to use your selected output protocol.
SRT
Set the Protocol to TS over SRT and select Listener mode. See SRT for additional information.
Once video and audio are configured, start publishing by calling the endpoint from Phenix using either an API or the Portal.
RTMP
Set the Protocol to RTMP/RTMPS and enter your stream key as detailed in the RTMP documentation.
Once video and audio are configured, start publishing by clicking Actions > Start.
WHIP
Set the Protocol to WHIP (Real-Time WebRTC) and enter your WHIP endpoint and publishing token as detailed in the WHIP documentation.
Once video and audio are configured, start publishing by clicking Actions > Start.
Video
The settings listed below are for RTMP. Note that some settings may have different names when using SRT or WHIP instead of RTMP. There may be other differences, e.g.,

Rate Control: Constant (CBR). Note: For some streams, using VBR instead of CBR can result in sharper in video quality and can minimize pulsing. Prior to using VBR in a production stream, make sure there are no spikes beyond 8 Mbps and monitor the inputs to make sure the streams are stable.
