BirdDog Cameras
BirdDog Cameras can be used as a content source for Phenix in a number of ways:

RTMP or SRT via BirdDog Cloud

SDI to a Phenix Encoder
To use RTMP or SRT via BirdDog cloud, please see below and the BirdDog documentation to set up your BirdDog Endpoints, Connections, and Configurations.
To use SDI to a Phenix Encoder, please contact Phenix for details.
RTMP
After setting up your Endpoints and Connections as described in the BirdDog documentation, add a new Outgoing Connection.
Select RTMP.
Set up your RTMP connection using the RTMP URL and your Stream Key as described for RTMP ingest
Select either the Phenix 60 FPS or the Phenix 30 FPS Encoder Profile. Be sure that Include Alpha is not checked.
Click Save to save the configuration and start streaming RTMP to Phenix. Verify that the content is being streamed using a Phenix client or the Portal.
SRT
Network Firewall Setup
Phenix supports SRT in caller mode, where your encoder or source is the listener. Be sure to set up your network to accept the incoming call on the right port.
After setting up your Endpoints and Connections as described in the BirdDog documentation, add a new Outgoing Connection.
Select SRT.
Enter your Port number in the "Port" field.
Leave the Connection Type as Single an the Audio Mode as NDI.
Be sure to select the option to Split audio into stereo streams.
Select either the Phenix 60 FPS or the Phenix 30 FPS Encoder Profile. Be sure that Include Alpha is not checked.
On the SRT tab, select Listener.
Set the Latency to 10 and the Overhead to 25. You may need to adjust these values to accomodate your network conditions as described in the BirdDog user manual.
Make sure that Allow packet drop is unselected and that Encryption is Off.
Click Save to save the configuration.
Unlike RTMP, the SRT connection will not be established immediately. Follow the Phenix SRT documentation to have the Phenix platform call your new SRT endpoint.
Verify that the content is being streamed using a Phenix client or the Portal.
